This time of year, many homeowners run into hot water issues, specifically trying to maximize their hot water usage. One of the biggest complaints brought to us that we help solve is waiting time for hot water. It’s winter and people want to enjoy the warmth of showers and baths but don’t want to deal with the headache of waiting for hot water—people get irritated with it.

Common Issues We See in Homes During the Winter and How Precision Can Help Solve These Issues

The good news is there are ways around to fix that for them. There are pumps we can add to any house to get them hot water on demand without the wait time.

You might be thinking, “Can’t I just get a larger water heater?”

Yes, that will give you more hot water—but the common complaint we get a lot is, “I started my shower, and I have to wait two or three minutes for the water to get warm.”

So what we do is we can install a recirculation pump with a timer, so it’s not running all the time. For example, let’s say every day during the week at 6 a.m. you go to take your shower. Well, we would set a scheduled timer for that pump to turn on each weekday at 5 a.m., so that when you get in the shower at 6 a.m., the moment you turn that shower on it is instantly hot and ready for you.

Delivering Quality Water to Your Faucet

One of the biggest kitchen requests we are getting in new builds and remodels is providing waterlines directly to your coffeemaker. And we aren’t talking just standard tap water; we are talking filtered reverse osmosis that is superior for both drinking and cooking.

Additionally, many people request water dispensers in their homes. The great news is here at Precision, our water treatment division offers water dispensers that not only offer hot water and cold water, but it’s reverse osmosis water as well.

FAQ: Why do I need a water filtration system? Is reverse osmosis even necessary?

Tap water without a home water filter system is full of toxins like chlorine, fluoride, and other things. While those chemicals may keep your water sanitary, it is not healthy to ingest them. At Precision, we are taking the health benefits of filtered bottled water and bringing it to your tap.

Trending Product for 2024: Battery Backup Sump Pump System

The one thing that’s everybody’s biggest fear in [Fargo-Moorhead] is spring, specifically flood season. A great product that more and more people are installing in their basements is battery backup sump pump systems that will auto-alert you if there is an issue with your sump pump. So the battery backup itself will alert your cell phone when there’s an issue. These are becoming popular because everybody likes to have that peace of mind while away from home that their basement is in good shape.

Making a Comeback: Home Water Softeners

One thing we’re seeing becoming popular again right now is water softeners. Many people may not realize what a softener can do for their house to extend the life of their plumbing fixtures and reduce water spots, especially with glassware and glass shower doors. Cleaning a glass shower door without a softener compared to having a softener is night and day.

Evolve Water Softener System and Reverse Osmosis System Options

You may be thinking, “Why are they making a comeback and why did Fargo residents stop using them in the first place?” The Fargo City Water Treatment Plant always said that water softeners weren’t necessary for their water system because their water was so good. Well, I beg to differ. Try it out yourself and see the difference!
